Some security or data protection teams only approve a tool once its AI features are switched off. Others have an internal policy that says no company data goes to an AI model. Mida supports both. You can turn off every AI feature for your whole company with one switch, and keep using Mida for classic A/B testing.
What counts as an AI feature in Mida
When the switch is off, all of these are removed from your dashboard:
AI Agent, including Skills, Routines and Workflows
Sunny, the assistant on your test reports
Synthetic Research
AI variant generation, including Figma to variant
AI hypotheses and takeaways on the Learning Center and the Conclusion page
Recommended tests, the AI test idea feed
Personalization and Target Accounts
AI goal validation and the Pre-Publish Check
AI survey generator
Business context in Global Settings
Everything else stays. Tests, variants, the visual editor, targeting, goals, segments, the stats engine and reports all work exactly the same.
What happens when AI is off
The AI features disappear from the dashboard for every user in your company, across all projects.
Nothing from your account (test details, results, page content or visitor data) is sent to an AI model through normal use of the product.
Shared report links from your account do not offer Sunny either.
Your Mida tag on your website is not affected. The tag has never used AI, so nothing changes for your visitors or your page speed.
Your plan and billing do not change.
How to turn it off
You need to be the account Owner or an Admin. Other roles cannot see or change this setting.
Log in to Mida and click your account name at the bottom of the left sidebar.
Click Company.
Find the AI features panel and switch it off.
Your dashboard reloads and the AI sections are gone. The status next to the switch now reads Disabled.
The change saves on its own. There is no Save button to press.
How to turn it back on
Same place, same switch. Go to Company, switch AI features on, and the dashboard reloads with everything back.
Locked by agreement
If your organisation asked us to turn AI off as part of a security review, the switch shows a lock and cannot be changed from the dashboard. This is on purpose, so nobody on your team can switch it back on by accident. Contact us through the chat if you need it changed.

A few facts that usually come up in a review:
The setting is company-wide and applies to all team members and all projects. It is not a per-user preference.
Only an Owner or Admin can change it. Anyone else who tries is refused.
When AI features are on, the content you send them (for example a test you ask Sunny about, or a page you ask the Agent to look at) is processed by third-party AI model providers. When they are off, that processing does not happen.
We can also lock the setting for your organisation so it stays off. Ask us in the chat and tell us your company's email domain.

Common questions
Will my running tests stop?
No. Running tests keep running and keep collecting data. Only the AI features are removed.
I already used the AI to write a variant. Does it disappear?
No. Variants, hypotheses and notes that already exist stay in your account. You just cannot generate new ones with AI.
Do I need to contact support to turn it off?
No. Any Owner or Admin can do it from the Company page. Contact us only if you want it locked so it cannot be switched back on.
Does the switch cost anything?
No. It is available on every plan, including the free one.
