How to deploy your test

And when you should do so

Updated yesterday

Imagine you've been running your A/B test for a few weeks, and you've finally observed a significant positive result. Your developers are too busy to implement the changes on the website and you want to reap the positive benefits as soon as possible. How do you do that?

Mida has a deploy feature where you can deploy your test as soon as it's completed, applying the changes straight away. To do so, first change the status of your test from 'Running' to 'Complete':

'Running' Status:

'Complete' Status:

In the image above for the 'Complete' status, you will see a Deploy Variant CTA. Clicking this will deploy the variant to your live site, collecting data after the experiment has ended. You can see details of your deployed test under the Deploy tab:

This is useful when you want to compare conversion rates before running your A/B test, and after it has concluded for monitoring purposes. It also allows for the application of your variant's changes without any additional effort (e.g., implementing variant's changes in your website's CMS).

Note that we don't recommend running deployed tests for an extended period of time, as they can interfere with any future HTML changes made on the website. If you're happy with the results of your test, these changes should always be applied to your website directly as soon as possible.
