How to Set Page Targeting Using URL Patterns

Page Targeting now automatically handles URL patterns that use an asterisk (*), so you no longer need to manually configure separate Page Targeting and Advanced URL rules to target multiple pages. A new Advanced/Classic mode has also been added for more complex targeting needs.

URL Pattern (simple targeting):

  1. In the Experiments window, click Add New Test to set your experiment parameters and save your variant.

  2. On the Targeting page, under Page Targeting, click URL Pattern.

  3. Enter your URL pattern (e.g., www.mida.so/blog/*) to target all pages starting with that address.

  4. To exclude a specific page from the test, enter its URL into the exclusion text field.

Advanced/Classic (complex targeting):

  1. Set a Primary Page URL — the main page you want to target.

  2. To add more granular filtering, turn on the Advanced Page Filters toggle.

  3. In the Advanced Page Filters, enter the page URLs you want to include, and the page URLs you want to exclude.
