Setting Target Audience with Preset Segments

Setting your Target Audience is now easier with common-case presets, letting you quickly define who sees your experiment without manual configuration.

To access it:

  1. In the Experiments window, click Add New Test and select your Experiment Type.

  2. Fill in your experiment parameters and save your variant.

  3. Scroll down to the Target Audience section. By default, All Visitors is selected, meaning everyone reaching your website will see your experiment.

  4. To narrow your audience, choose from the Preset Segments list:

    • Mobile & Tablet Traffic — visitors on mobile or tablet devices

    • Desktop Traffic — visitors on desktop devices

    • New Visitors — first-time visitors to your website

    • Returning Visitors — visitors who have been here before

    • Paid Campaign Traffic — arrived via Google/Meta ads or paid UTM campaigns

    • Organic Search Traffic — arrived via Google, Bing, or other search engines

    • Social Traffic — arrived via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
