Mida does not use sessions. Instead, we classify visitors based on when Mida first identifies them.
New Visitor: A visitor is considered new for the first 24 hours after Mida first identifies them.
Returning Visitor: Any visit after the first 24 hours is considered a returning visitor.
Important note on test consistency
If you have a targeting rule set to New Visitors only, once a visitor enters the test as a new visitor:
They will continue to see the same variation on subsequent visits,
Even though they are now classified as a returning visitor.
This is expected behavior and ensures a consistent user experience throughout the test.
